I have dealt in antiques and decorative objects for 11 years now and I opened my shop in Petworth, West Sussex in April 2006; my first by the way. I was very fortunate to have found such a great space and location, with fantastically large display windows and a private forecourt for clients. With no formal experience, just a very understanding husband, I can honestly say that even after all this time, I am still learning on the job and just cannot buy something that I truly don't like myself. Whilst I appreciate and love many antiques, as a modern dealer, I cannot ignore the more contemporary items and why should I. If a piece has soul, beauty, great character or great design, then should it's age matter, I don't think so, though please, no mass produced items!! I see my role as that of someone helping to enhance a home, a garden or any space, but very much with the personal attention to both client and detail.

he Showroom specialises in 18C, 19C and 20C garden ornament, decorative furniture and other intriguing items. I have specialised in antique garden ornament for several years now, providing items for both UK and International trade as well as private clients. There are also many other antique dealers in the town, offering a good variety and range of items to suit everbody and being only 1 hour, 20 minutes from Central London, it is easy for clients to visit just for the day.
